Design and Application of Special-shaped Column Structure and Short-shear Walls in Small High Buildings

The application of advantages and mechanic properties of the special-shaped columns and short-shear walls in small high-buildings are expatiated,and three structural forms are analyzed and discussed with a real project for example for the purpose of selecting an optimal program.It is found by comparison that as the structural forms of special-shaped columns and short-shear walls are used,the structures should be arranged reasonably so as to meet the needs of lateral stiffness,and axial compression ratio should be controlled strictly so as to meet the needs of constructional reinforcement to prevent the probably curling and shear failure for the purpose of meeting the needs of the construction of small high-buildings.
