| Abstract: | Being not a perfect elastic substance, wood behaves some vis-coelastic properties in many respects. Its Static and dynamic moduli of elasticities are not equivalent in values as tested with the wood of Larix daburica in terms of compression parallel to the grain. The latter is about 15 percent higher than the former. The method for determing the dynamic modulus adopted in the present experiment was found not only simple and convenient, but also highly precise. |
