Abstract:Taking three main maize varieties of highlatitude area as materials,the effect of six different plant densities on maize yield was studied,and the best plant densities of the three varieties were acquired.The results showed that the suitable plant density of Kedan 11 was 60 000 plant·hm-2,the suitable plant density of Biandan No.3 was67 500 plant·hm-2 and the suitable plant density of Demeiya No.1 was 82 500 plant·hm-2.Therefore,the compact varieties could achieve higher yield under high density.The relation of the three kinds of varieties was compact maizesemi-compact maizespreading maize.
