摘    要:火炬松21个种源间木材基本密度存在着显著的差异;基本密度与原产地纬度正相关显著,与年均温负相关显著。各种源株内径向基本密度呈递增的模式。各年轮段间基本密度正相关极其显著。5年生基本密度预测9年生、12年生的木材基本密度。

Abstract:The significant difference in wood basic density was found among 21 provenances of 13-year-oldloblolly Pine grown in JingZhou of Hubei province in China. The basic density was clearly positiverelated to the latitude of these local provenances. and significantly negative to their annual meantemperature. In radial direction the basic d6nsity of individual trees within provenances increased frompith to bark. The early-late correlation coefficient of wood basic density between different growth stagesof trees was examined to be significant at 0. 001 level. The basic density of 5-year-old tree can be usedto predict that of older trees. Generally basic density was negatively correlated with height. diameter andvolume. but their correlation was not significant. Father analysis showed that the basic density in twoof these provences was positively correlated with trees groWth propefties. This should be noted in woodimprovement of exotic loblolly pine.
