| Abstract: | The research progress made in poplar gene engineering is summarized in terms of gene transformation of pest resistance, disease resistance and salt tolerance. Some existent problems in gene engineering breeding of Poplar are put forward, and moreover, the practical perspective of gene engineering in genetic improvement of Poplar is also discussed. |
