Abstract:A 1.0 hm2 sample plot in Weichang of Hebei was selected to analyse the spatial structural characteristics of Pinus tabuliformis and Quercus mongolica mixed forest,through the measurement of the tree height,DBH and coordinate localization,using the uniform angle index,neighborhood comparison,mingling degree and point pattern.The results showed that six populations existed in the tree layer of the forest,among which Pinus tabuliformis and Quercus mongolica,had the obvious advantage in population density and basal area,are the dominant tree species.The average mingling degree for P.tabuliformis and Q.mongolica was 0.41 and 0.38,respectively,suggesting zero degrees,weak degrees and middle degree of mingling stands being main type.The accompanying species were generally well-mixed.The relative advantages stand of P.tabulaeformis and Q.mongolia were higher than that of other trees.The spatial pattern of forest distribution was aggregative.The results calculated from the two methods used were similar.
