甜瓜种子成熟度对种子活力和幼苗生长的影响

对不同成熟度的甜瓜种子进行老化处理和恒温、低温发芽,测定其千粒重、蛋白质、脂肪含量和相关幼苗生长指标.结果表明,随着成熟度的增加,种子千粒重和相关活力指标呈上升的趋势;早期采收的果实后熟对种子的发育可起到相当重要的作用,采收期越早,后熟作用越明显;但果实后熟的作用不能完全替代茎叶对种子的影响,特别是在种子千粒重和贮藏性能方面;种子暗发芽下的子叶中可溶性糖含量随种子成熟度增加而提高.

Effects of seed maturity on seed vigour and seedling growth of melon

Seeds of melon at different maturity degree were treated with artificial aging,constant and low temperature germination,and then the contents of protein,fat,thousand-seed weight and relevant indexes of seedling growth had been measured.The results showed that the thousand-seed weight and the relevant indexes of seed vigour increased along with the incresement of seed maturity degree.After-ripening of earlier harvested fruits acted significant effeet on seed development.The more early fruits was harvested,the more evident after-ripening action was done.But after-ripening action of fruits could not completely replace effects of stem and leaves on seed development,especially to thousand-seed weight and function of seed storage.The soluble sugar content of cotyledon in dark gemination increased evidently along with the increment of seed maturity degree.
