Study on topographic features of Chuxiong Plateau based on DEM

Chuxong is located in the central part of Yunnan Plateau.Its topographic feature is closely related to the formation of Yunnan Plateau and the uplifting of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.From a macro point of view,this paper first analysed the deposit-forming characteristics of the plateau.With the aid of GIS,raster data were obtained by using ordinary Kriging discrete samples throughout the region for spatial interpolation,and the terrain analysis was conducted by means of DEM model and spatial analysis function of GIS.Based on DEM,the thematic map of elevation,the map of landforms,thematic maps of slope,the thematic map of elevation,the aspect thematic maps and the thematic maps of degree terrain have been got.These maps depict the basic characteristics of Chuxiong Plateau,which provided valuable data for the economic development and other aspects in this area.
