| Abstract: | Safflower is a traditional Chinese medicinal plant as well as a new oil and industrial crop. This article reviews the advances in studies on the genetic resource, influencing factors of yield and quality, cell and tissue culture, chemical constituents, pharmacology, clinical application and exploitation of safflower. The directions of safflower's research and development in the future is also put forward. |
