广西引种意大利厚皮甜瓜试验初报

摘    要:【目的】筛选出适合广西栽培的国外甜瓜品种及丰富育种材料。【方法】对14个意大利厚皮甜瓜品种进行春秋两茬大棚栽培,调查各品种的果实、抗病性和产量等性状。【结果】14个意大利厚皮甜瓜品种均为软肉类型,春秋茬所有品种的中心可溶性固形物含量均低于11.0%;秋荐甜瓜植株的生长势、单果重和产量明显优于春茬。【结论】14个意大利厚皮甜瓜品种均不适合在广西推广,但品种IM07、IM09综合抗性好,IM05、IM08香味浓郁,可作为育种材料,用以选育抗病、香味浓郁的甜瓜品种。

Abstract:Objective]The experiment was carried out to screen some good quality Italian thick-skinned melon varieties in order to utilize them in breeding new varieties which are suitable for cultivation in Guangxi. Method]Fourteen thick-skinned melon varieties which were introduced from Italy, were cultivated in greenhouse in spring and autumn seasons of 2002. The investigation parameters included their growth periods, fruit characteristics, yield and resistance to various diseases. Result]The flesh of the fourteen Italian thick-skinned melon varieties cultivated in spring and autumn were found soft with its soluble solid content less than 11.0%. The yield of all varieties was found higher when planted in autumn compared to spring planting. Conclusion]All the Italian thick-skinned melon varieties in this experiment were not found fit for planting in Guangxi. However, the varieties IM07 and IM09 showed good resistance to various diseases, and varieties IM05 and IM08 had best aromatic flavor. Therefore, these may be utilized as breeding materials in order to breed high quality thick-skinned melon varieties with good disease-resistance and aromatic flavor.
