| Abstract: | Hainan Island often suffers from meteorological disasters such as typhoon,flood and drought damages that have caused great economic losses and hampered the sustainable development of Hainan Province. The present papers analyses the features of the meteorological calamities to Hainan in association with frequency and losses in recent years. It is concluded that Hainan should take enough precautions to fight against and mitigate meteorological calamities. Some recommendations are made for the mitigating of meteorological disasters in Hainan. |
