湿地松适生的土壤

我国湿地松最适生的土壤,为亚热带低丘平原硅铝质或硅铁质红壤、耕作红壤、酸性紫色土和滨海风砂土,排水良好至不良,卫生状况好,土壤氮磷含量低或极低,钾较高,湿地松生长好,很少发病;适生的土壤为低丘台地铝质红壤、硅铝质或铁铝质砖红壤性红壤和砖红壤,湿地松生长较好,少数有轻度病害;不甚适生的土壤为山地丘陵硅质或铝质黄壤、硅铝质暗红壤,湿地松生长较好,但发病风险大;不适生的土壤为山地硅质多腐殖质暗黄壤、暗红壤和丘陵侵蚀性红壤性土壤,湿地松生长好至极差,且多发生严重病害。

SOIL FOR SATISFACTORY GROWTH OF SLASH PINE

The most suitable soil for slash pine ( Pinus elliottii Engelm ) growth in Southern China is siallitic or siliferric red earth, including waste cultivated red earth acid purple soil and siliceous coastal wind-blown sandy soils distributed on low hills and plains with subtropic moist climate, good sanitation, and well or somewhat poorly drainage. The soils containing less nitrogen and phosphorous but more potassium are generally appropriate for well growing slash pine with less diseases.Moderate suitable soil is the allitic red earth, siallitic or siliceous lateritic red earth and laterite distributed on low hills and terraces. The slash pine generally grows better with slight needle diseases.Somewhat unsuitable soil condition lie in the siliceous or allitic yellow earth and siallitic dark red earth distributed on mountainous areas and high hills, on which slash pine grows well but with considerable risk of meeting needle blight disease. Unsuitable soil conditions is to be found in the siliceous dark yellow earth and siliceous dark red earth or red earth, distributed on mountainous areas and high hills with excessively moist subtropic climate, bad sanitation and well drainage. The soils contain low levels of phosphorous and potassium but rich in nitrigen. Slash pine generally grows well at earth stage, but later it may be severaly attacked by pathogens, and caused high motality especially by needle brown spot disease. Another most unsuitable site is the arid barren lithoyoung red earth on eroded hills, on which slash pine grows very bad damaged by serious diseases.
