| Abstract: | This paper discusses the modified mechanism of tall oil and the preparation and application of sizings paste for paper and paperboard manufacturing.
The experiment in Lab. and plant scale has shown that the tall oil could be modified directly with malcic anhydride , Besides the added amount of maleic anhydride, the temperature and time for reaction have a great influence on the compounds content required. The sizings paste could be made by the reaction of modified tall oil with caustic soda. |
