Tentative Plan and Practice of the Informationization Project for Cotton Industry in Anhui Province

This paper discussed the tentative plan and practice of the informationization project for cotton industry in Anhui province. The informationization project composed cotton production expert system (AHCCE: AnHui Cotton Cultivation Expert System), AHCCE for VCD/DVD platform (AHCCE-VCD/DVD), the information network of cotton industry for Anhui province. The AHCCE is consisting of database, knowledge database, model system, inference engine and data & knowledge acquisition system, computer-user interface. The AHCCE has the following function of designing procedures based on preset yield, regulating and controlling cotton population structure and desirable plant type, optimizing combinations of various factors in accordance with local conditions including choice of varieties, sowing, fertilizer application, irrigation, applications growth regulators and control of diseases and insect pests, optimizing field management and decision making in response to various kinds of emergent conditions. We are going to become the AHCCE an internet-based cotton production management system in the follow researching. The AHCCE-VCD/DVD is a simple expert system base on AHCCE.The cotton industry information network of Anhui province is an internet-based network. It's consisting of some electronic information data bank, including: cotton and its concerned market information system, cotton production information system, cotton science and technology information system, cotton industry forecasting system, cotton production expert system, etc.
