Abstract:The Japanese pumpkin has the character of high quality,precocious,strong resistance,high output and other economic efficiencies,and it is planted by the general peasant households as the first choice in vegetable varieties in the structure adjustment.In the last few years,the cultivation area of Japanese pumpkin was bigger,but because the peasant household not really understood the cultural technique,causing low output in production practice. The prematurely dropped fruit was prominent performance in the flowering season and the melon vine excessively grew.Therefore,the contrast experiment was carried out in March 2005 to improve its fruit-setting rate through the application of corrective cultivation and management.
