| Abstract: | The adaptive cluster sampling introduced by Thompson is a powerful method for a survey of a population which is highly clumped with clumps widely separated. We adopt a similar adaptive approach and have a sampling design to assess pest density, and obtained a unbiased estimator and its variance.Finally a demonstration example is given. |
