Vertically deep rotary tillage and planting technology of corn in arid region

Abstract:Whole-film double-furrow sowing corn can increase corn yield, but planting soil will consume a lot of soil moisture in successive years, which is unfavorable to the inter-annual balance of soil moisture and aggravate the yield reduction caused by seasonal drought. Vertical deep-rotation tillage technology can break the bottom of the plow, reduce the soil bulk density, increase the effective water content, improve the soil storage and supply capacity, enhance the ability of corn to resist seasonal drought, and increase production. Therefore, the demonstration of this technology would be promoted the development of corn industry in semiarid region. On the basis of our research in recent years, combined with the research results of predecessors, this paper puts forward the cultivation techniques of vertically deep rotary tillage and planting technology of corn in arid region, and achieved remarkable effects of increasing production and income. This paper focuses on the operation points of this technology and the key link.
