A Preliminary Study on the teaching reform of soil science course based on the demand of landscape architecture

Soil science is an important basic course for landscape architecture, which has important significance in garden plant cultivation and maintenance, garden design and engineering construction. According to the demand of landscape architecture on soil science, we adjusted and optimized the teaching content, teaching methods and assessment methods of soil science. First, we emphasized the importance of soil physical and chemical properties, nutrient cycling and gardening plant cultivation and maintenance. The teaching process should stimulate students" learning interest and improve students" hands-on activities and practical ability by adjusting teaching methods. Assessment methods should be more diversified. Through discussion and reform, the teaching content of soil science is closer to the demand of landscape architecture, and more conducive to students" absorption and application.
