Abstract:The inhibition activity of different tissues extracts of 10 plants against Colletotrichum Lagenarium were determined by mycelial growth rate methods. The results showed that 70% ethanol extracts of Solanum melongena L. and Capsicum annuum Linn with a level of 20 mg/mL had significant inhibiting activities against C. Lagenarium, and the inhibition rate was 72.86 % and 72. 57%, and their EC50 was 6. 962 7 mg/mL and 8. 254 0 mg/mL,respectively. However,the ethanol extracts of other plants didn~ t have an obvious inhibiting effect with the inhibiting rates which were less than 50%. The control effect of the S. melongena and C. annuum extracts against the disease caused by C. Lagenarium was further confirmed at the seedling stage through pot culture experiment. The control efficacities were 72. 97% and 71.08% at the 7th day after the extracts were sprayed,and their ECs0 were 6. 757 6 mg/mL and 8. 619 0 mg/mL,respectively. S. melongenaand C. annuum are wastes from the process of agriculture production, which are valuable for economic and environment, and deserve further development.
