| Abstract: | This paper purports to give the definition and extension of urban forestry. The characteristics and thefunctions of urban forestry are also analysed with a comparison with city gardening. Several key factors related to thedevelopment of urban forestry are discussed. Based on the above, some suggestions on systematic research andpractice of urban forestry have been put forward. |
