我国社会主义市场经济体制的建立，对高校图书馆提出了严峻挑战，也给图书馆事业带来了新的发展机遇。本文分析了高校图书馆所面临的困境，探讨了新的经济关系中高校图书馆的重新定位，应从传统的纯粹服务型走向服务经营型，提出了高校图书馆摆脱困境的对策与建议。

Discussion on Market Economy and College Libraries

Socialist market economy system established in China is an austere challenge to university and college libraries,but it also brings a new opportunity for development of libraries.This paper analyses the predicament with which university and college libraries may meet and discusses the renewed position of university and college libraries in the new economic relations, which should change the traditional pure service type to the service management type .It puts forward the countermeasures and advice of casting off the predicament for university and college libraries.
