| Abstract: | Summer chrysanthemum is a plant of vernalization-requiring, its flower initiationdepends on basal cold treatment. On the time of vernalization, three weeks are sufficient for the full vernalization effect. Exogenous GA_3 effectively substitutes for chilling treatment of chrysanthemum cv. 'Summer Yellow 1' , 'Summer White 1'. During vernalization the increase in light intensity results in earlier flowering. But the larger age of the plants isn't needed when they become sensitive to cold induction, i.e.,they possess a shorter juvenile phase. |
