Preservation Packaging Technology of Fruits and Vegetables and Research Progress

Preservation packaging technology of fruits and vegetables is a kind of modern preservation technology with strong application, which can maintain product quality and reduce loss rate of fruits and vegetables. In the past few decades, the packaging technology has been developed rapidly. In recent years, the emergence and rapid development of fresh products electronic commerce and the constantly improvement of consumers requirements for the quality of fruits and vegetables have made the market put forward new demands for the performance of fresh-keeping packaging, which has prompted the diversified development of fruit and vegetable packaging technology. This paper introduces the concepts and principles of fruit and vegetable preservation packaging technology such as modified atmosphere packaging, active packaging and intelligent packaging, reviews the research progress of above technologies, and prospects new preservation packaging technology of fruits and vegetables.
