Discussion on the Design and Building Technology of Roof Gardens

This article aims at discussing garden design technologies and the problems in designing gardens in the specific environment such as a building roof, emphasizing on the technological treatments in designing and building roof gardens. It points out that the total weight of the roof garden should be reduced in the light of the bearing capacity of the building as a whole. At the same time, problems such as leakage in the roof should be solved. The article also discusses about technological treatments such as drainage, irrigation, wind-proof as well as the selection of materials for the disposal of plants. Then, it briefly discusses about some concrete measures taken in the design and building large, medium and small size roof gardens respectively.
