固原县综合农业区划报告

宁夏回族自治区南部的固原县位于黄土高原的西部，东邻甘肃省的环县、镇原，南接平凉和本自治区的泾源、隆德，西界西吉、海原，北连同心。地跨东经105°58’—106°57’，北纬35°34’—36°38’，面积6，414平方公里（约962万亩），是黄土高原地区水土流失重点县之一。

Report on Division of Comprehensive Agriculture in Guyuan County,Ningxia

Guyuah County is located in the west part of Loess Plateau with an area of 6, 414 km², which belongs to the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. It is also one of the counties of serous soil erosion in Loess plateau. Over a long period of time,soil erosion and irrational land use, especially, the extensive cultivation has led to serious destruction of natural resources and then the ecological environment on which human activities of production and livelihood relgy has worsened increasingly. This paper is a comprehensive report of survey, after investigation, the productive conditions for agriculture of Guyuan county,such as landform earthsurface construction of materials, climate vegetation,soil,land,water resources as well as soil erosion were evoluated. Combined with social-economic foctors,the present situation and developable direction of farming, forestry and animal husbandry were analyzed and demonstrated.The results pointed out that the production had greater potentialities in this county. Because there is plenty of space for manoeuvre, therefore,it is suitable for distinctively managing farming,forestry and animal husbandry,and each of them is paid particular attention on the basis of different areas. According to the principles mentioned above, 4 areas and 7 subareas were divided. The 4 areas are:Ⅰ—Northeastern area of loess hill with ridges and knobs where animal husbandry is mainly developed, Ⅱ— River valley plain area of Qingshuihe where farming is mainly developed. Ⅲ— Ragged high-land plain area of Honghe and Rushuihe where farming animal husbandry, foresty and fruit planting are mainly developed. Ⅳ—Liupan mountain area where forest for conservation of water supply is mainly developed. The division has provided a basis for making the plan of soil conservvation and productive development.
