γ-氨基丁酸(GABA)是一种神经抑制性递质的游离氨基酸,主要在稻米的胚部表达,具有平和血压和镇定神经等多种生理功能。本文综述了GABA在稻米中的分布与富集、富含GABA巨大胚水稻的诱变育种及其遗传表达特性、以及富含GABA功能稻米产品的研究进展。

ADVANCES IN FUNCTIONAL RICE ENRICHED WITH GAMMA AMINOBUTYRIC ACID FOR DECREASING BLOOD PRESSURE

Gamma Amino-Butyric Acid(GABA),a free amino acid that functions as an inhibitory neurotransmitter,accumulates mainly in rice embryos.GABA has multiple physiological functions,such as normalizing blood pressure and aiding recover from disorders of the autonomic nervous system.Research progresses in distribution and enrichment of GABA in rice,mutation breeding for giant embryo rice enriched with GABA and their genetic control and expression,and functional rice products enriched with GABA were reviewed in the current paper.
