A World List of Pathogens Reported on Tea Plant |

| Abstract: | A complete list of pathogens reported hitherto on tea plant from 37 countries in the world was recorded by the authors in the present paper The total number of species included was 500, and 133 species were reported in China. Among these, 325 species of fungi were reported (Deuteromycotina 136, Ascomycotina 124, Basidiomycotina 58, Zygomycotina 4 and Mastigomycotina 3), the total number of the species of Myxomycetes, Bacteria,Virus, Algae, Mosses and Lichens, parasitic Phanerogam and Nematodes which recorded on tea plant were 27, 6, 3, 1, 37, 17 and 82 respectively.Analysis indicated that the number of pathogens occurred on the stem of tea plant was the most, amounted 226, those on the leaf, root and flower amounted 125, 104 and 19 respectively. The synonym of pathogen, infected parts and the countries recorded were given in the list. The relationship between the taxonomy of pathogens and the infected parts were analysed and discussed by the authors. |
