Abstract:Highly pathogenic PRRS outbroke after 2006 in China had raised great economic loss.The 30 amino acid deletion on NSP2 gene had been identified as a unique hallmark for highly pathogenic PRRSV strains from previous classical strains.Unexpectedly,a 24 amino acid deletion was found on NSP2 gene of a novel PRRSV variant strain,named as BL2,was isolated in Guangdong province in China.The deletion in BL2 located at the same region on NSP2 gene(corresponding to aa 540-563 of VR2332 ORF1a),but was shorter than that...
