Abstract:The epidemic process of cucumber downy mildew was divided into six parts:host growth,infection,apparition,lesion expansion,sporulation and sporangia deposition.Each subprocesses was quantitatively analysed and described based on the data of 1985-1986''s experiments.Cumulative relative humidity,cumulative beneficial and harmful humidity and cumulative harmful temperature were introduced into the host growth and sporulation submodels respectively.It was considered that disease apparition is related to inoculum,infection probability and cumulative effective temperature.
