Abstract: | This paper describes the essential features of the conditions causing chronic respiratory disease in the dog including: chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, primary and secondary lung tumours, filaroidiasis, actino-mycotic infections and tuberculosis. Epidemiology, diagnostic clinical signs and methods of treatment are emphasized. A consideration of hypertrophic pulmonary osteoarthropathy is included since it frequently occurs in conjunction with chronic respiratory disease and may be a useful diagnostic marker. |
