Application of Pollen Culture Breeding to Rice Breeding

In this paper,the technique characters were introduced and the achievements of rice breeding through pollen culture in the last years were summarized.Taking indica and japonica rice as examples,the experimental results in aspects of material collection,material treatment,and medium formula optimization by some researchers were demonstrated.All the efforts aim to increasing callus induction rate and plant surviving rate,aiding conventional breeding and realizing new technique breakthrough in rice breeding.
