| Abstract: | According to field investigation and related materials, the species, place of origin, introducing approaches, habitats, distribution and harmfulness of alien invasive plants in Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone were discussed. The results showed that 87 species of alien invasive plants belonging to 69 genera and 31 families were identified, most of Compositae and Gramineae. Constitutional analysis of the original locality revealed that 67 species were from Tropical America which took up 77.9 % of the total species. And 15 species were ,evaluated to be at the high degree of threat to the local biodiversity, 30 at the medium, and 41 at the low. The most effective strategies were to protect native ecosystem and to establish monitor mechanism and risk assessment system of alien invasive plants. |
