Note on local applications of paleopedology in central North Island,New Zealand

Paleosols at the land surface and others that are buried are formed almost entirely from tephra parent materials. Current information on nutrient uptake by trees, on highway construction, pipe corrosion, and construction of earthworks is summarized briefly in this paper.
