辣椒名称考释

辣椒在进入中国四百多年间产生了40多种别名.通过三方面的考证分析：辣椒来源地与栽培地、辣椒果实形态与性味、同名异物,发现辣椒命名基本符合古汉语植物命名规律,以辣椒果实与性味命名的名称使用更为广泛和长久.各个品种的别称为我国辣椒的园艺分类有较大参考性.对各省不同时期辣椒别称的考证,发现相同名称在特定地域内出现,形成辣椒食用圈;随着文化的发展和科技的进步,有些别名现今已经弃之不用;同名异物现象在民国时期已经基本消失.

This article investigated chilli source, cultivating areas, pepper＇s fruit shape and flavor, homonym of chilli and found that pepper - naming conformed to the ancient Chinese botanical nomenclature. The names got by the fruit shape and flavor were used more wide and long than others. At the same time, different names of pepper species apply to the clas- sification of peppers. Because of the different names of pepper, China can be divided into 4 different regions.
