| Abstract: | Current poplar breeding practices pose severaltheoretical problems concern-ing poplar
heredity and breeding:(1)the poplar breeding target and the parallelism of crossedgenetic
variation;(2)genetic analysis has demonstrated that reciprocal recurrent selection is avalid
procedure for poplar breeding;(3)backcrossing promotes egg and pollen fertility of off-spring and
overcomes hybrid sterity and the die young of offspring. |
