With the development of forest sustainable management in the recent years,the international forest certification system and forest product certification system has been established in succession.The institutions concerning forest and forest product certification were set up in some international organizations and many countries,and relative work were conducted.China's forest certification began later,but with the support of State Forestry Administration,it develops fast.The role,present situation and prospect of international forest and forest product certification are described.
