内蒙古自治区水资源开发利用主要问题与发展方向

MAJOR PROBLEMS AND DEVELOPMENTAL ORIENTATIONS IN THE EXPLOITATON OF WATER RESOURCES IN INNER MONGOLIA

Outlining the main achievements and benefits gained in the water con-servancy constructions of Inner Mongolia in the past thirty years, the paperpoints out some main problems of presence and shows the developmental orien-tations in the future construction of water conservancy in this region. Also,the paper suggests that stresses be laid on continuous large-scale developmentof water conservancy, rational utilization and protection of water resourcesand promotion of the improvement of salined and alklined soils. Finally,some areas were pointed out such as Hetao plain, Western Liao river basin andthe right bank area of Nengjiang river, where water resources exploitationsand utilizations should be emphasized.
