Safety of Transgenic Plants Honeybee

Transgenic plants have been applied world wide. Transgenic oilseed rape,cotton,and corn,which are three of five major kinds of transgenic plants,are very important nectar or pollen sources of honeybee.So their safety to honeybee should be taken into account.Many researches have showed thatonly at high concentration may two major insect-resistant genes expressing products(Bt toxin and proteinase inhibitor)and fungi-resistant gene expressing products do harm to honeybees' longevity,digest enzymes activity,and behavior.By now,transgenic plants haven't been found doing harm to honeybee in the field,so they are safe to honeybee.
