| Abstract: | The somatostatin-hcpatitis B surface antigen fusion gene(ss/HBs)was cloned into thevaccinia expression vector pGJP-5.Recombinant vaccinia virus containing the fusion gene was constructedby in vivo recombination with the vaccinia virus Tian-Tan strain.The recombinant virus cxpressed bothsomatostatin and HBsAg and the expression product was assembled into hybrid particles in which thesomatostatin determinants were surface exposed,The hybrid particles were similar to the HBsAg particles re-ported in the size and density.Also,this recombinan vaccinia virus as a potential somatostatin live vaccinefor animal growth promotion was discussed. |
