| Abstract: | This paper gives a brief introduction of development and achievement in forest-tree breeding in China, presents a comprehensive review of the current situation and progress of forest genetic marking technique, forest genome study, application of genetic engineering in the fields of insectresistance, stress tolerance, adverse condition resistance, genetic transforrmation and other quality improvement of forest trees in the recent decades, and discusses the relationship between biotechnology and forest-tree breeding. |
