International Research on Environmental and Ecological Consequence of Land Use and Land Cover Change

As an important content of global change, land use and land cover have great influence on the global ecological environment. On one hand, by affecting climate, soil, hydrography and physiognomy, land use and land cover change impacts greatly on natural environment. On the other hand, land use and land cvoer change makes the biodiversity, material cycle and energy flow and landscape structure in ecosystem to change heavily. As a result, it makes the structure and fuction of ecosystem to change. After introducing the update progress, the development of correlation study in the future is discussed.
