| Abstract: | In order to analyze the immunity effect of veterinary rabies vaccine in dogs and understand the factors influencing immunity effect we collected some serums from immunized dogs or non-immunized dogs. The antibodies against rabies in serums were detected by ELISA. The results showed that the antibody positive rate was 34.53% （67/194） in immunized dogs in Zhenjiang city and the difference on the antibody positive rate was significant in different areas. The difference on antibody positive rate between the dogs immunized 3 times or more and less than 3 times was significant. The antibody positive rate in immunized dogs was not high in Zhenjiang. It could not prevent the spread of rabies in dogs. The low immunity times were one of the reasons for low positive rates. These results would provide data for the prevention and control on rabies. |
