研究了华山矾大、小孢子发育和花粉壁的形成以及大孢子的发生和雌配子体的发育过程。华山矾的花药四室。绒毡层腺质型 ,发育后期出现双核至多核。小孢子四分体四面体型 ,胞质分裂连续型。成熟花粉具 2细胞。子房 2室 ,中轴胎座。胚珠倒生 ,单珠被 ,薄珠心 ,胚囊发育为蓼型。该研究为山矾科的胚胎学提供了新资料。

In accordance with the experimental results, and combining with some related references, the embryological characteristics of Symplocos chinensis was summarized. The anther is 4 sporangiate. The tapetum, of which each cell contains two or more nuclei in the later stages, is the glandular type. The cytokinesis of the microspore mother cells in meiosis is the simultaneous type. The microspores are arranged in a tetrahedral tetrad. The mature pollen grains are of the 2 celled type. The ovary is 2 locular. The placentation is axile. The ovule is monoteguminous, tenuinucellate and anatropous. The development of the embryo sac is the polygonum type.
