| Abstract: | As one of "four treasures in Qinling Mountains",the Qinling takin (Budorcas taxicolor bedfordi) is one of the National Key first-class protected animals in China,and is listed as a vulnerable species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). In this paper,we summarized the research findings in Qinling takin,which includ ecology,taxonomic status,parasitic diseases,rumen microflora,functional gene mining and captive breeding,meanwhlle,we reviewed the advance in research of Qiangling takin. For providing reference for the protection and management of Qinling takin,the weaknesss about the current research is pointed out and the direction of future research is proposed. |
