Current Situation of Forestry Resources Development and Utilization in Michigan State of US and Its Enlightenment to China

How to address the relation between the protection and utilization of forestry resources have always been the difficult but hot issues in forestry management. The paper reviewed the status quo of the forestry resources development and utilization in Michigan State of the US, and summed up the specific development and utilization measures and their effects in terms of camping, recreation, hunting and fishing. It was argued that these measures would give new thoughts for China to adjust her views on forestry resources utilization, classify the types of utilization, and develop management measures. It was also suggested that China should stress diversified utilization and establish a unified management system for forest resources management, and also take efforts to provide better government services.
