桔褐天牛的研究

桔褐天牛是柑桔的重要害虫,国内分布与柑桔产区相一致,最北为陕西武功。桔褐天牛完成一代所需时间,因幼虫孵出时期迟早而不同:7月上旬以前孵出的幼虫,次年8月上句至10月上旬化蛹,10月上旬至11月上旬羽化,第三年4月下旬成虫外出活动;8月以后孵出的幼虫,则需到第三年8—9月化蛹,10—11月羽化,第四年春成虫才外出活动。越冬虫态有成虫、二年生幼虫、及当年幼虫。在成虫产卵期进行防治,造成成虫产卵的不利条件,杜绝成虫潛藏场所,消灭小幼虫于蛀入木质部之前。对已蛀入的幼虫,可采用药杀。

STUDIES ON THE CITRUS-TRUNK-CERAMBYCID,NADEZDIELLA CANTORI HOPE

The citrus-trunk-cerambycid,NADEZDIELLA cantori Hope,is one of the most important citrus pests in Kiangsi,causing tremendous losses in fruit production.The duration of one generation depends on the period of hatching.If the larvae hatch before the middle of July,pupation Will take place at the beginning of August to the beginning of October the next year,and emergence occures at the beginning of November,but the adults may still stay in the pupal chamber until the end of April of the third year.In case the larvae hatch after August,pupation will take place in August to September in the third year,and the adults may emerge out from the pupal chamber in the 4th year.The habits of differentstages have also been carefully observed.As to the control measures,the authors advocate that it is of first import-ance to create a condition unsuitable for the adult inhabitation and egg laying.The next step is to extinquish the eggs and young larvae before boring into the xylem.If there still remain some larvae boring into the xylem,they may be killed with such insecticides as DDT or BHC with not too much labor and ex-penses.
