不同的民族有不同的称谓系统。英汉语言在亲属称谓方面存在的差异不仅表现在形式、意义等语言层面上,也体现在所遵循的使用规则和评判标准等文化层面上。本文主要从长幼辈分、血亲姻亲、宗族与外宗族以及称谓的泛化等方面对中英亲属称谓用语进行了对比分析,揭示出隐藏在中英亲属称谓差异背后的文化因素。

Analysis of cultural factors behind kinship terms between English and Chinese

Different nations have different systems of address forms.The differences of kinship terms in both languages are demonstrated not only in forms and pragmatic meanings,but in the rules governing the choice of them and in the standard of judging the proper use of them.This paper conducts a contrastive analysis of kinship terms between English and Chinese in order to find out the cultural factors behind the differences.
