摘    要:固醇转运蛋白(SCP-2,也称非特异性脂类转移蛋白)是一类碱性小分子蛋白质,存在于过氧化物酶体中,在体外可以增强质膜间胆固醇和脂类的运输,广泛存在于细菌、古细菌和真核生物中。大量的研究表明,它与多种物质的代谢过程有关,但由于它复杂的结构和功能,其具体作用机制目前仍未被明确阐述。为此,作者着重以真核生物SCP-2家族为例,介绍了SCP-2结构域的进化、结构与功能近年来的研究进展,并对SCP-2基因家族及SCP-2蛋白应用前景作了论述。

Abstract:Sterol carrier protein-2 (SCP-2,also known as the non-specific lipid transfer protein) is an in-tracellular,small,basic protein domain that in vitro enhances the transfer of lipids and sterol between membranes. It is widely existed in bacteria,archaea,and eukaryotes. The roles of SCP-2 remain unclear owing to its complicated structure and function although there are suggestions that SCP-2 involves in catalyzing metabolism of plentiful matters. The purpose of this review is to summarize our current knowledge about evolution, structure and function of the eukaryotic SCP-2 gene family and discuss potential functions of SCP-2 in vivo or vitro as studied in large numbers of experiments in recent years. Furthermore, the SCP- 2 gene and the application of SCP-2 are discussed.
