Studies on Measurements of Living Leaf Surface Vegetables

In this paper, the authors make a further investigation on the correlation between the length, width and the lenth×width of leaves and the actual surface of the leaves. The leaves of Vat. langum Bailey, P. vulgaris L., and Cueumis melo L. are more or less uniform. Measurements have been made in order to get the correlation between their leaf lenth×width and length+width, and the actual Surface of the leaves, It is well-known that the living leaf surface measurements are essential in production and scientific research. The effective method frequently used for this :purpose is thought to be correlation method. We have adapted the coefficient met hod in living leaf surface measurements. It has proved that it is much simpler, more convenient and reliable than the correlation method.
