The Optimal Operation of Well Network in Well Irrigation and Drainage Area

Aiming to improve the average well operation situation of high total cost and low efficiency in well irrigation and drainage area in Ningxia, a multi phase optimal model with an objective function of minimizing total operation cost is developed on the basis of dynamic programming theory. The model can be used to determine optimal number of wells operating at the same time and its economical index. The results of testifying with an actual case shows that the management level and economic benefit in an existing well irrigation and drainage area can be improved significantly with the application of the model.
